Name Entry Tips
Follow these steps to get the most accurate search results.
Last Name
- Enter the last name exactly as it appears.
- Avoid spelling variations or abbreviations — the system requires an exact match.
First Name
- Enter the full first name.
- The system automatically checks common first-name variations.
Example: First-name variations that may appear in results

Tip: Don't include suffixes like Jr., Sr., III, IV, or Esq.
Date of Birth (DOB)
- Enter the full date of birth: Month, Day, and Year.
- The system searches the exact DOB and also includes a ±3-year range.
Example: DOB range search
If you enter November 22, 1990, results may include records from 1987–1993.
Middle Initial (Optional)
Adding a middle initial helps narrow results while keeping flexibility. If you enter a middle initial, the system searches:
- Names that start with that initial,
- Names without a middle name, and
- Exact matches to that initial.
Example: Searching for "Emily Grant"
